  26. GoldWave is a sound editor, player, recorder, and converter
  27. for Windows 95/NT.  You can use it to make Web page sounds,
  28. answering machine messages, or even record your own CD (when
  29. used with CD writer/software).

  82. 2.0 Installation, Uninstall

  85. 2.1) Installation

  87. Simply create a new "goldwave" folder, such as:
  88.   C:\Program Files\GoldWave
  89. and unzip or copy all files into that folder.  Create a short
  90. cut to the "goldwave.exe" file in the folder.

  92. 2.2) Uninstall
  93.  
  94. Delete the following files from your Windows folder:
  95.     express.eqx
  96.     gwpreset.ini
  97.     goldwave.ini
  98. Delete the GoldWave folder.  Other files are listed in
  99. section 4.0.

  103. 3.0 Important Additional Notes
  104. --------------------------------------------------------------

  106. 3.1) Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.00 or later is required to
  107. run this version.  A Pentium processor is recommended.
  108.  
  109. 3.2) In order to get the oscilloscopes and white playback
  110. position line working correctly, you might have to change
  111. the positioning method in the Device Controls Device
  112. Properties.
  113.  
  114. 3.3) If GoldWave crashes during playback or recording,
  115. contact your sound card manufacturer to obtain an updated
  116. driver.  Some drivers are available from the World Wide Web.
  117. The GoldWave WWW home page has links to some sound card
  118. manufacturers.

  120. 3.4) For MPEG Layer 3 support (mp3) you must have the MPEG
  121. Layer 3 codec installed.  It is included with NetShow Services
  122. and Internet Explorer 4 (and above).
